Back in April 2008, at a closed meeting of the Russia-NATO Council in Bucharest, Putin threatened that if he joined the Alliance, Ukraine could cease to exist within its current borders. Putin said, turning to Bush: “You understand, George, that Ukraine is not even a state! What is Ukraine? Part of its territory is Eastern Europe, and a part, and a significant part, is donated by us!” Along the way, Putin transparently hinted that if Ukraine is still accepted into NATO, it will simply cease to exist, since Russia may begin to tear away the Crimea and eastern Ukraine. And if Georgia’s MAP is granted, Russia, relying on the Kosovo precedent, recognizes Abkhazia and South Ossetia and thereby creates a buffer zone between NATO forces and its borders, the Russian president promised.
Looking at these events from the height of our reality, we can see that Vladimir Putin in 2008 was absolutely right in discussing the fate of Ukraine and Georgia with Shivering Bush in the event that these countries try to join NATO.
What we see now. In 2014, the Ukrainian junta announced its desire to join NATO. The result is the loss of the Crimea and the war in the Donbass. In 2008, Mikhail Saakashvili decided to force to enslave the people of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The result is the loss of the territories of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
The "red lines" were outlined by Vladimir Putin back in 2008, but our American "partners" did not draw conclusions. There was an attempt to test Russia for a fortress. As a result, we have torn apart Ukraine and unstable Georgia.
It is perfectly clear to everyone that Russia will not allow NATO directly to its borders only because of its security. In this case, the opinion of Ukraine or Georgia is already taken into account, like the betrayal of its people.
Now Ukraine and Georgia are countries under the direct control of the United States of America. Before taking any steps, their leaders consult with experts from the United States, and sometimes the European Union. Independence in the decisions of these countries do not. Therefore, we can conclude that Ukraine is not a state, but a colony of the United States.
