Não é dos ramos mais afectados quando rebenta a bolha? mesmo na China" que era sobre o que a BABA estava a fazer.

O TAM da forma que eu falei NÃO abrange mais do que o mercado doméstico. O ponto é que para uma tecnologia que parte do 0 para penetrar um grande mercado, não importa muito se esse mercado flutua um bocado ou cai temporariamente. O teu ponto inicial era "porque é que vão investir nisso se o mercado vai encolher?".
Imagina que os carros tinham rodas quadradas e a BABA estava a introduzir rodas redondas muito melhores. O que é que importaria se o mercado temporariamente ia encolher? As rodas redondas de qualquer forma veriam crescimento rápido. Estás a ver o problema?
Credito ao consumo por partes dos clientes , como a dita Saic Motor é lider.. poderia chegar se a qualquer conclusao. Pelo que vi desceu , o que ate pode ser um bom indicador (ou nao eles sao milhoes) .
Pegando no teu exemplo das rodas.... talvez , imagina que as pessoas nao querem pagar mais por ter rodas redondas , os fabricantes podem incluir como sendo um extra gratuito o que possivelmente iria comer margem.

SAIC Motor’s 2014 vehicle sales at 5.6 million
SAIC Motor announced on Jan 7 that it sold 5.62 million finished automobiles in 2014, up 10.07 percent compared with the previous year, making it the market leader in China.
Shanghai General Motors sold 1.76 million finished automobiles, up 11.74 percent; Shanghai Volkswagen sold 1.73 million, up 13.11 percent; SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile sold 1.81 million, up 12.83 percent.SAIC Motor has insisted on the innovation-driven development strategy, while steadily scaling up its business. It has given priority to independent innovation and made full use of independent brand building, new energy project promotion and overseas business development to build itself into a world’s famous auto company with international competitiveness and brand influence.
SAIC Motor’s own brand rolled out CUBE-TECH, a competitive brand-new power assembly in 2014. The power assembly included direct injection engine, TST six-speed dual clutch transmission, TST seven-speed dual clutch transmission and new-generation engine start-stop system.
